By the looks the snowmobile motor is prob mounted square into the frame and as such the carb bowls are designed float wise to suit .. but notice with the trx model the bowls are suited to accomodate the motor mounted on the angle as such... May be an issue????

I believe that it's phuk who has looked into this and actually bought a set from the US. Have a search and you'll see it has come up before. It basically would involve a lot of work. You need to respace them and/or fab your own manifold IIRC. Then there are other hassles. I think you deal with the float issue by basically having a bent manifold, but don't quote me. Don't think anyone has actually managed/bothered doing it, as by the time all is said and done you might as well have bought FCRs (or TDMRs).

Would also need new internals - they're setup for a 2 stroke. 2 strokes tend to have a shrouded needle tube

Yep,a fair bit of work required but to anyone with the abilities,time and patience not an unsurmountable job.

more to the point hows your bank balance, by the time you gin around,changing internals and float bowls(if they make them to suit that is) not to mention the time and the running round... Last pair of fcr from memory a few weeks ago went for round 280 pounds on e bay..

But yes,as you rightly say,why bother when it could turn out expensive and time consuming?
Especially if you can pick up a pair of `type` correct carbs for a quarter of their new price.
