Post by dandywarhol » Sun Jun 07, 2009 12:48 am

Gawd - I hate being a newbie............... :?

righto - what're these "U" clips for please? And no comments about the manky underseat - it's been lying for a few years, getting spruced up next week.

They're holding clips for a U bolt security clamp (like Kryptonite). Have to be a fairly small one though?

Like a disc lock-sized one perhaps?

Thanks for the replies - even the useless ones  Looks about as much use at holding a "U" lock as a chocolate fireguard but never mind. At least the TDM has a moulded seatbase for a biggie..................... 8)

Oh no that`ll not do at all, everyone knows a Scottish sausage is much bigger than that,it`s why kilts are so long!
By the way,I`ve still got to take the useless bits of bracketry and plastic out of mine,ANY excess weight is not permitted, unless I`m on tour and have the rack I recently aquired fitted. :)

IIRC, this was for the official Yamaha u-lock which you could buy from dealers back in the mid-90s insurance crisis days. Almost as much use as a Honda camchain. :mule: Not only was I there with my TRX, but I've been re-reading vintage Fast Bikes so I speak with authority [-X
