Re: DIY triple clamp scratch cover
Last 2 gone to Banger and Mincehead. Guys, I'll have them in the mail late this week, you should have them no more than a week after that.
Please - take your time cutting them out and use a good quality sharp hobby knife or scalpel, not a carton cutter. You can use scissors to get the overall shape and use the blade for the fine work. The more patient you are, the better the end result.

Re: DIY triple clamp scratch cover
If it's not already obvious, the easy way to take advantge of davamb's hard work is as follows:
(I use an Apple Mac, but I presume this applies to PCs)
"Drag and drop" davamb's jpg TurboCad image.
View it in Preview or Photoshop (or similar)
Crop the picture so that you are left with just the outline of the scratch cover.
In Print Preview, guess an approximate multiple for printing; I chose 300%
Print it off.
On davamb'sphoto with the ruler, the top cusps lie at 45 & 198 on the ruler, a distance of 152mm.
The first print out was too big, and the crucial distance was 204.
So divide the actual length 152 by the trial length 204: giving 74.5%
Multiply the guessed multiple 300% by the correction percentage (74.5%), giving 223.5.
Change the print multiple from 300% to 223.5%.
Print off.
Job done. Perfect!
