U got 16/40 and paid attention?
Well, i run 16/40 now and think it´s a bit slow...and revs like ´ell
70 front wich makes the speedo somewhat unreliable, 180/55 rear...
9000rpm in 2nd & 3rd gear is 120 & 160km/h on the speedo, guess it´s a bit higher due to the front...
Anyone with same setup that has checked this out?

Running the 16/40 gearing with std 60 profile and front and rear and 160 rear as such so can give you an idea over the next couple of days when I sneak out for a fang...

I run 16/41 which I though was going to give better acceleration, but in fact it turned out to be,( according to the calculators) only about 2kmh different at, if I remember rightly, 4000 revs

I run 16/41 and find it good, but it is street riding more than motorway. I want all my fun in the 0-120. You will have to re-calculate for the 180/55. I'm sure someone here will have a formula for that so you can compare.
It must be true, I read it on the internet.

So one can say that a 70 profile front is one tooth on the front sprocketcobbadiggabuddyblooo wrote:yes can confirm 120kph 9000rpm 2nd gear 160kph 3rd 9000rpm with std 60 profile tyres and 15/40 gearing....who me no officer i wasn't riding

I wouldn't worry about that to much. I checked the speedo with GPS and it appeared to be quite accurate! I have a 70 front too.Killerwhale wrote:8<

Somehow that sounds a little bit too short!Killerwhale wrote: So one can say that a 70 profile front is one tooth on the front sprocket
