Climate Gods
I've just spent the day helping my son build a bird cage 4 metres X 3 metres for his newly acquired cockatoo ( aust bird ) . it was 42 degrees here to-day . Came inside switch on the air con , grab a beer and died in a chair . I'm pumping salt tablets into the old body to stops the fu-k'n cramps , News time on the TV and what do I see all you folk on the top side of the planet in snow and more snow and temperatures that our thermometers don't even read . you poor folk must be ripping down the back fences ( wood) and burning 'm or what ever it is you do to stay warm . We could get the women folk to knit beanies and scarfs for you if needed . I've seen the snow twice in my mongrel life and that was 2 times too many so my heart goes out to you in your hour of cold. Now I see on the weather TV we are in for a extreme fire day this monday , maybe some one over your way could send a parcel of cold weather to help us . Climate change is going from the top to the bloody bottom of this ball called earth. Look after yourselves kids

Re: Climate Gods
Everywhere here is so white and pretty !!!
I've just spent the first of my free time this week clearing a path from the car to the door and another so I can get to the bird table to put some food out for the poor little creatures.
Finally got a clear path. And guess what .... it's just started bloody snowing again !!!

Yes and yes ... !!!!!bobtrx wrote: you poor folk must be ripping down the back fences ( wood) and burning 'm or what ever it is you do to stay warm . We could get the women folk to knit beanies and scarfs for you if needed
Where I live now, I rely on open fires to heat this old/draughty house ... looks great and is very cosy ... but f'g hell it's hard work in weather like this!!! Fortunately a friend delivered a trailer-load of logs last week, just before the snow arrived here. It was 3 days before I could get the car out and go get food! I hope we have a hot summer to make up for this!!!
On the plus side the kids in the village are happy - school was shut for two days ... they spent their time sledging down a bloody great hill on anything they could lay their hands on ... there were a few nice sledges, body-boards, plastic bags and even a tractor tyre and a road sign. I'm gonna destroy a suitcase later to make sure mini-me has something good for the next load of snow that's due tonight/tomorrow
I hope the fires aren't too bad Bob ... stay safe x

You'll get plenty of sledges on here and McDonald's trays are perfect for the odd snowy day. Free as well.Jak wrote:(sledges are out of stock everywhere now - and no roasting trays left at the supermarket today either!!!!)

I customised a suitcase lid
works great!!! The snow's frozen now though so it's a bit bumpy and fast for the kids ... good fun though

Re: Climate Gods
Hi bob!
Thank you for your compassion - but here in just lightly snowy Munich the snow still is fun:

(This is a picture of last years "Historic Ice Trophy" in Altenmarkt / Austria)
Was out to play yesterday with my slalom car (BMW 325i) and showed a good friend of mine (who only drives front wheel drive cars
) how to really go through the curves

Funny greetings from Munich!
