Beauty mate! I love TRX's with the early R1/R6 tails. Seems to suit them really well.

I note you have retained the pillion seat and rear footrests - how did you srengthen the rear subframe?

Im curious about where the pic was taken, im trying to identify the machine behind you in one pic. Im thinking some sort of "processing" plant.. wool maybe ? Chemical wash ?

Re: My TRX - Enjoy
Hi all,
To answer your questions, I shortened and widened the subframe, cut off all the bits that used to be behind the original tail piece and welded in a piece of tube to support the top rails of the subframe. It was a lot of messing about, scratching of head and tacking everything in place and double checking, but it came out OK.
It is ear bruisingly loud, but funnily have never had a complaint - Kick up a few gears when I see the police and rely on the torque. Love starting it up and seeing some poor fuk'r jump three feet in the air LOL.
As for the background Hospital steam boiler house, for my sins I am engineering chief on a big new hospital

Hi SDN,you in the UK?
That boilerhouse could be almost a carbon copy of the new one at my own place of work, also a hospital.
I`ve also got stubby carbon cans on my fightered TRX(Around 300mm long if my aging memory serves me correctly),and yes ferkin load but lovely!
Mine are not quite as high as yours though and more parallel with the swingarm too.
Nice job with her, mine`s black too, much faster than poofy red ones.

Mince, everyone knows the only reason they are painted black is to hide a crap paint job. Red is best, with a white frame and black engine, If you dont believe me ask max

Re: My TRX - Enjoy
I Reckon I got the best of both worlds, I asked the guy who painted it to do it black with a red overspray. He painted it black, then dusted some very thin silver overthe front and back of the body work then blew thinned candy apple red over the lot. Where the silver paint was it came out red. The overall look I wanted was the red highlights you get when you hold a pint of guiness up to the light, and it was what I got in spades.
Just got my braced swinging arm fron a YZF750 and will be looking at fitting it so any suggestions help appreciated

Search is your friend for the swinger...there is a VERY good step-by-step process here somewhere
Understeer - when you hit the fence with the front of the bike.
Oversteer - when you hit the fence with the rear of the bike.
Horsepower - how fast you hit the fence.
Torque - how far you take the fence with you.

@ SDN
yer, i know boilers quite well, its how i picked it was some sort of heat washer system. Wasnt quite sure what it was for tho.. Either way
Now you mention it, you can see the red candy spray. Ive had that idea in my head for ages if it would work, obviously it does. Sorta like a faux pearl paint. I personally want deep purple over spray. The honda NSX (acura for yanks) paint code is PB37P from memory (honda code), and its its black with purple tone to it.. BUT its stupidly expensive, and slightly TOO purple for my likings.. Id like it a bit darker and more subtle. Nice work !
What rearsets you using ? got a better pic, and one of each side ?
