Don`t bank on it,especially if Katla erupts too.
Historically the scenario is very likely unfortunately,I`ve a friend in Iceland and things there are pretty bad.

hmmm interesting ... esp. the bit about the last three Eyjhlllwaknfoeanuyll (or whatever) eruptions triggering Katla eruptions
One thing though ... shouldn't the scientist blokey be described as a volcanologist ... surely a vulcanologist is more interested in Spock
