Cam journal clearance?

Post by M.V. » Mon Jun 28, 2010 2:57 am

In the process of doing my valves the the moment, but one of my cam journals has some damage, I think (hope) due to no clearance on one of the inlet valves, I have cleaned it up & given it a quick polish with some 1200 wet & dry, but I thought I'd better get some plastigauges & check the clearance, so I don't loose oil pressure.

Anyone know the acceptable clearance I should be aiming for?

Thanks guys!

#-o Duh, never mind, I've found it. It's in that service manual thingy everyone keeps banging on about.

0.020mm to 0.054mm in case you were wondering.

Nothing to see here folks, move along!
