Head porting
Who can port my cylinder head and how much will it cost please?
My bike maybe a dinosaur but it still has some bite & has a mighty roar.

Re: Head porting
I was in luck finding an old man who been porting heads for 20-something years and did it in his shed...was 450€-ish.Kenny wrote:Who can port my cylinder head and how much will it cost please?
Check on different forums...someone always now someone who...etc.
If you want it flow checked and so on it´s a bigger company...and much more money.
TTS??

XBikes in Wisbech are pretty damned good at it. Not sure as to cost though, but I know it takes a while to do well and XBikes have a few clever little mods they do to heads to get extra ponies.

I'm there at weekends, it's where my TRX has been resting for a while.slow codger wrote:Wisbech!, do they speak English or do you have to know Russian or Latvian!!!, Are you near there?

Can't wait to see what it actually makes on the dyno, it's got a fair few goodies, OVER cams, full Akro, FCR39 carbs and pod filters, 870 kit, WP USD forks, 6 pot Billets, 320mm discs, Harris clip ons, head done by some bloke from Cosworth (this was before XBikes did heads), balanced crank, and the crappiest rear shock you've ever seen. Got to sort that one out.
