My winter project/evolution of my TRX

So this is my first post here and also a little peak into my winter project for my TRX. I had the rear passenger/exhaust hanger mounts rust and break and decided to do something a little different. Also, anyone have any ideas for an underbike exhaust or any issues they think would be caused by that? As of now the brackets are being fabbed to mount the subframe so all is just secured in place.

Yea I'm getting the brackets made now. Its the tail and part of the subframe from a 2006 R6r. I'm trying to keep it all Yamaha and give it a facelift so to speak. Once the brackets are made and the subframe is modified I'll post more pics for anyone curious how to swap this. I'm also using the upper fairing and part of the lower fairing to make a belly pan. I picked up all the R6 plastics for 7000 Japanese Yen. Roughly about 80 us dollars. so very cheap with minimum rash and all very repairable. I also have R1 front forks to mount. I know i'm taking away from the original looks of the TRX but I'm definately keeping it Yamaha and as few fairings as possible.

FWIW, all the underseat conversions I have seen for any bike not designed to have them have generally looked crap due to the routing of the pipes past the swing arm. But no real issue with doing it if that floats yur boat - the longer gas flow shouldn't notocably mess up the performance.

WRT the R6 top fairing and belly pan, this was doen by Max for his race bike. IIRC the narrower fairing meant that the standard clocks didn't fit but other than that it was just a matter of 'squeezing' the fairing brace to make it fit. (I have an 99 R1 endurance fairing on mine which required new brackets to be fabricated.)

Lol yea good use of my kitchen since i rarely cook and being a single guy i dont have to worry about anyone bugging me about my motorcycle parts being everywhere.

Thanks for the input Phuk, and glad to be here. I was actually thinking of under the bike exit or atleast having a small can or 2 joined by a h-pipe and exiting just to the sides of the rear wheel. Similar to a Buell. How bad would that hurt me performance wise.

As for affecting performance - it will but who cares if it looks good (and that's what you want). It will only be small anyway

"Bobtrx" actually contacted me and sent me some of his pics i like it a lot. Hopefully I can get something similar fabricated. The headaches of making something custom....but definately worth the result. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll have more pics to post. Waiting on some stuff from home back in the US.
