January 2011 Australian Motorcycle news magazi has TRX in it

Post by markdbr » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:08 am

G'Day fellow TRX riders. I last month wrote to the ACCMN magazine requesting they do a spread on the TRX as they do a spread on riders bikes from different years. I am happy to say just the next issue they have done the TRX850. I hope you all enjoy, I know I did

Regards

Any chance you/someone could scan and post it up for those of us who don't live in Oz?

I read the article in question yesterday.
In it they mentioned their long term test bike.
in the AMCN Motorcycle Yearbook volume 47 no 13 summer 1997/98, they did a one page article on this very bike. i will try to scan it and post it.
In the same issue, AMCN did their famous "Tour of Duty" with a Suzuki TL1000, a Laverda 750S, a Honda VTR, a Ducati 916, aBuell S1, a Moto Guzzi Sport and a TRX850 !!
On the road comparo's (luggage carrying etc) full dyno work, track work at phillip island (400m top speed, 400m best time, 0-100kms best time, 0-160kms best time, 20-180kms avg, best laptime, top speed at Phillip Island's famous turn one) and riders feedback.
Five days and 44 pages of the magazine !!
Day One - strip, measure, weigh and photograph the bikes.
Day Two - ride to Phillip Island for laptimes, acceleration and top speed runs.
Days Three and Four and Five - ride through the south-eastern corner of OZ to see how the seven contenders perform in the real world.
Day Six - wash bikes, sleep, eat, sleep, eat...
too much magazine to scan in tho.
perhaps we could get a reprint if more than one owner asked very nicely??
cheers from here

What about weekly installments! ;-)
