The time has come

Post by Silver » Mon Jan 24, 2011 1:27 pm

I,ve been thinking of having a change for some time, although what to get has always been difficult.
I really liked the Shiver when they came out and even had a test ride. I couldnt justify the cost so put it on hold. I spotted one last week which was a 2008 cat c with mostly cosmetic damage for £1995, which i could just afford. I went to see it on friday and bought it for £1850. I am over the moon!
I now need to sell the TRX to pay for the bits, difficult decision but i dont need 2 bikes.
Its posted up in the for sale section and was TRX of the month in April last year.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the TRX and i know i will miss it.
Thanks to you all for the friendship help and advice over the years. I dont intend ducking out of the forum and may turn up to meets on the new bike.

I thought you already were!!!
I may well be back. Never say never, but for the time being the shiver needs fixing.
I wouldnt mind building a track only special trx but i felt mine is a bit too good for that.

Yeah , I reckon you're right Dave.
A lot of TRX riders don't get out much thro' the winter and have time to ponder on how much they really 'need' the TRX.
Come the spring and the first dry day on twisty country roads and all thoughts of selling up disappear :)
( 'course those silly sods who actually sold their TRX will spend the rest of the year kicking themselves as they hunt for another one) ... [-o<

Graham, I'll let you know if you are right or not when i get the sgiver on the road. Went out and ordered most of the bits today, and took the new tank cover in to get it sprayed.
Its certainly screwed rogether better than the TRX, like when you take the tank off the main supply pipe has a quick connector.
All the best.
