spotting for roos

just done a search but found nothing for spot lights...anyone ever wanted to fit some or have fitted them?

Im considering mounting some lightwiegt leds off my mirror mounts as I have barend mirrors.

And yeah,there are a lot of roos around my way.

Spot lights or marker lights?
Spot lights in the UK are generally small halogen driving lights with `focussed` beams giving a spot of light, hence their name.
Marker lights generally get used by the cruiser squad to draw attention to their porky and ugly rides.
That`s their bikes and not their women.............................

yeah spot lights,not show and telll custom lights.
I found an excellent pair that give amazing spread and distance,they are 2"x2"square,900 lumens with 0.75amps draw.
They are called Solstice Hi Power led1100 pods,at (hidlights.co.za) South Africa,BUT they are $1150!!
check out there youtube advert imbeded on there website.
Or the cheaper option I guess would be HID kit for around $100, However I want spread so I can see the roos before they bounce my way,plus spots for distance.....
I have no idea how evil bay works....I must get tutored.

$1150 cheaper mounting a shotgun to the front and just blowing them away as they jump...with the spotties you may see them earlier but it still doesnt stop them jumping.. look at the roos and just tell him "so you feeling lucky PUNK"

Are those little $10 whistling plastic things you get at servos any good at all? Theory is that they hear them coming, go head up listening, doesn't get taken by surprise so doesn't freak. By the time they decides to move you are past. Probably worth a punt at the cost.

Without wanting to piss on ya bonfires, what came first the roos or the motorcycle?
Sadly roos are victims of mankinds `sprawl`, they may well make the Australian roads dangerous to other users but I do have some feelings for their plight.
How many Australians would like to be displaced from their homes?
And how much of their natural range is now concrete or asphalt?
We have deer in the UK that often do similar things, especially up here in Scotland. Yes, dangerous to hit them but their range has been cut up and disected by our roads, they must cross roads or they would fail to find enough to survive.
I`m a biker but I`m also very aware of the environment, being `aware` is sensible in a world ever more fooked-up by mankind.

mincehead,you take the fun out of forums. We are only having a bit of fun,I'm all for keeping our countrys emblem intact and unmolested,hence the SPOT lights.

As to those whistle thingys,I reckon the bugs would fill them up,but you can get a roo shoo"electronic sound wave device for your car,not sure about bikes though.
