I reckon go the HID option on your existing light, they dont take too much power to run, less than the existing globe.
I cant imagine those little whistles the servos sell would generate as much noise as a decent set of cans on a TRX anyhow, perhaps its the frequency they make? Seems optomistic to me.
roos are one of those things in OZ, we will just have to adapt.
Interesting that its a whole different thing in a car, NEVER SWERVE for wildlife- wheras on a scoota you would swerve first and take the scrub option as apposed to hitting a big roo.

Look folks, it`s simple, everywhere mankind goes he destabilses the natural wolrd, roos just want to survive, they are not allowed their usual ranges, nor their foods of choice.
Instead they are simply taking advantage of our ignorance and `adapting` as nature does.

Mince, there are many times the roo population in the land of Oz since white settlement. Roo's thrive on open grassland (pasture) not virgin forest. The biggest threat to the 40+ species is drought which can halve the population which hovers around 25M and is twice the Oz cattle herd and half the sheep population. BTW we only run over 4 or 5 species in any great number - reds, greys, wallabies and euro's. After a nuclear holocaust there will be but roo's and roaches to roam the earth.

For what it's worth, most roo's get hit at night. They actually jump away from their shadow (escaping from a potential predator) so jump toward the vehicle headlights. The path of their shadow herds them towards the source of the light. Interstate coaches will dip the high beam to avoid them .
