If you keep the std carbs, try if you can to keep your primary pipes shortish and even in length.
primaries too long will require major fuel rejig and possibly cause a hole in the mid range if not.
Akraprovic 2-1 join the pipes on the upward sweep non drive side of the bike, long primaries but with a taper.
good for top end, not so good with std carbs for midrange.
i went for the shorter option,std carbs with new emulsion tubes and TI needles, K&N filter, rejet and 1/2 turn more on the mixture screws.

Love to do that, infact with the money I would make by selling the WHOLE Akrapovic exhaust system off the MT01(yes, the downpipes are also Titanium) I could by another TRX. The only problem is the fact that the things are not mine, I'd still have to buy it off the guy...![]()

Don`t listen to the Remus goblins, the Akra sits along the same lines as the rear frame rails and looks as though it would be easier to fabricate a link pipe for too.

Really doesn't matter which endpipe you chose, pick the one that sounds the best.

Indeed they do need glasses...but Im sticking to the Remus for now untill I ear from the Akras owner. I've bought too many bends, I might even sell the complete system with the Remus and fabricate a new one for the Akrapovics.
I need to exchange a 2" bend for a 2 1/4" on Monday so I can finish the exhaust.

Wish I had the use of a workshop like that one, bike lift would be great too. My spannering is done on the monoblock paving outside my flat!
The system looks pretty good, even with the Remus second choice can.
I`m sure if you`re looking at selling it some of the members might be interested.

And we're back on to work!
Yesterday I got to finish the number board that's going as background for the headlight. There's something there that's not doing it for me.
Maybe it's the chrome rim on the headlight, maybe it's the white vinyl... Maybe the forks and yokes need some black paint... Maybe the the number board needs black vinyl.
What you guys think?

today to exchange one stainless bend that came out wrong, so by tomorrow evening the Remus shall be fitted (I hope).
Oh, and the left hand switch gear is off too, to be later replaced by a WR400 lights (on/off) unit. LAAAAAVELLY

I looked at the photos first and thought ..... hmmmmm, dunno about that. Then I saw your comment sayingthat you thought that too.
Not sure what it is either, but its not right. Its not the silver forks: still looks odd if you block them out.
Maybe better in oval?? or a less uniform shape?? Or yellow??
TBH at the moment, it looked 100% better with just the offset light and no board which I think is cool!

Think its the way you ar trying to cover the rear of the head light..cut out of the numberplate.
It could work better being not odd "U" shaped but better roomier "L" shaped. the thin strip does not work with the straight forward rest.
Giving the light more room, keeping the gaps close to what you find in the rest of the bike.
Making the chrome black also will help.
I would taped it up with black tape to see if it works, before painting.

The fork legs are going black as well and I'm thinking about metallic dark gold for the wheels. I'm also trying to buy a Buell front end with rim disc.
