An antidote for all those trailer queen TRX shots
.... this is what a TRX looks like after battering its way through a locust plague @ the end of a 4500km tour...

Re: An antidote for all those trailer queen TRX shots
Had the visor closed, but because I had a tank bag on the bike ducking down under the screen was difficult. Did over 900km on the last day and first came across the locusts on remote back-roads so I could cruise at a speed well north of the posted limit in a mild tuck so the critters bounced off the fairing & over my head. When I had to ride on the main highway I had to pay attention to the speed limit things were much worse as I ended up peppered with the things. Not only did they cover the visor with their "sauce", but hit like hailstones on the helmet and jacket, both noisy & uncomfortable. And did I mention the smell as they burnt off the engineJW-TRX wrote:Hope you had your visor close....Or did your teeth also look like that
...and scarfacehugo.. done close to 119,000km on the TRX so 4500km in 6 days is pretty reasonable. My "crew" of old farts meet once or twice per year for the primary purpose of fanging around on motorcycles by day, then eating, drinking & telling tall tales by evening. This autumn it was the Snowy Mountains, about 1000km from my house so its similar to going from London to the Pyrenees in a day for a few days of furious riding... but with no channel involved.

more than welcome on the next.... now that Rann's bike association laws have been shot down in the federal court we could feel safe to actually plan a group ride..Quan-Time wrote:and where was i for this trip ?

Great shot! Would have been "interesting" in an open-faced helmet!

if by interesting you mean "DEAR GOD IM BLIND" then yes.. i agree.
need to catch up dfh.. i got some stuff to show you
SOOO close to having it sorted, but the calibration is out currently, but it "mostly" works. Spits out power + torque curve @ rpm.

I hate to think what it would be like to hit locusts at the same speed I hit those bees at....sandmacker wrote:That is some bike Quan . And what have you got against insects dfh ? The Bees copped it the last time
