Exhaust mount bolt

Hi guys.

The exhaust mount bolt that screws into the bottom of the engine on my TRX has gone.....disappeared......kapoof!!

The simple solution would be to get another bolt. Trouble is I can't find any info on what size this bolt is.

Can anyone help please?

Vibration gets to them and shakes them out, but I`ll ask the question, WHY BOTHER replacing it? They are M8 x 1.25 (standard metric pitch) but the length, I know not!
You`ll notice nothing from it not being there, my stock headers have never had one to my knowledge and my system is quite secure being bolted up to the head studs at one end and the can hangers at the other.
Mind, if you`re still using the pig ugly, bl**dy heavy and restrictive stock cans that might make a difference to how secure it will stay I suppose.

Yep, i'm certainly up for a new set of cans. One of the pig ugly (yet debaffled) stock cans hit the deck at 140 kph yesterday. The hanger at the foot peg gave way and away went my muffler.

I've got a mate who can tig up the frame so all good.

I wonder what the guy in the 4x4 was thinking watching my bike fall apart as it flew past him

Hardly even noticed it go. One moment everything was ticking along fine....the next i'm thinking 'Bloody hell, that's loud!'.

I got some nice harpoon carbon fibre oval casn, and they are real nice.....

they sit nice and high, and close to the body... real good carbon, and best of all loud...

48mm according to the caliper....

take away the head depth may be 40mm

I think i may have to invest.....although i can get a set of replacement originals supercheap.

Unfortunately my ride is not nearly as tidy as Al's, she's an everyday work horse, but i love her dearly

Thanks for the info on the bolt. Just want it back in for peace of mind.

Its not fully sorted yet... got some tyres today michelin pilot sport Â£120 the pear... get them fitted and M.o.t. should be on rode on Munday... need to give a good clean first,,, and degrease clean adjust chane will be nice then,,,

cant weight...
