Nice one! 8)

Thats always been a good looking bike. if it were mine, I'd go back to a fairing and clip-one, but thats all it needs.

And I've seen one set of those cans/exhaust system before, about 4 or 5 years ago....

...maybe this is your bike before all the modifications??

Went for a good old blast on the bike today, seems to ok but has a bit of a flat spot at 5000 rpm is this the norm for these bikes?. would it be worth having a rolling road session as the bike is fitted with a dynojet kit/ KN filter and modded exhausts.
current settings mains 144
mixture 3 turns
neddle 2nd notch from top

At 5000? No not normal at all, if there`s any carburation problems they are usually lower down the rev range than that. A dyno session, fuel / air ratio check will find the problem no doubt.

I'd say a dyno session is deffo in order. As Mince said a 'flat spot' at 5k would be unusual - it should be pulling hard at these revs. Are you sure you don't mean that the engine is 'bogging down' on roll-on in top gear? Quite a common problem if the jetting isn't set up well - should be easy enough to sort tho :)

Hi NWS870R yer it is bogging down in 4th n 5th gear when travelling along sitting about 4000 rpm open up the throttle and not a lot happens drop a gear and away we go. was hoping for a bit smoother power delivery. will have to read a bit more on carb setting and have a play.

Bit of carburation fine tuning will umprove it but don`t expect it to roll on like a big multi would, drop an gear and gun it for the instant ooomph.
