R6 rear shocky feedback

I have fitted an 07 R6. Im 84 kg no gear, I have 31mm loaded sag and 7mm static on full preload . I feel I need a firmer spring I happen to have a 10.5 from when I raced my R6. Shock settings reb 7 comp high 6 comp low 12 ,Its ok the forks SUCK they are stock with raised oil height. The front end is going to be urgent.

Normally the Low speed compression Damping adjustment is used to counter the squatting on excelleration.
This is a low speed movement so low speed comp should be adjusted, not the Highspeed.

But a bit of squatting is what you want as this transfers the CG to the rear wheel making it grip

But with Your 115Kg I think you are a bit more that what the R6 shock was intended to take.

But I have now experience with an R1 shock on a TRX.

I will be knocking on for 100kg in riding gear so I would hate to buy an R6 shock only to realise its undersprung

I have changed the front springs to hyperpro progressive and it feels much better then before , im wating for the adapterfor the shock.

The shock i got is from a -09 r6 according to racetec its optimal for 9,8 spring 87kg driver on a r6 but i dont know if how it canges when you put it on the trx as heavier bike and if the swing-arm maybe longer and linkage is different?

Hopefully it can sort of support up to 100- 105 kg

Cobba dint jack up the preload ore did you cobba -did he ? tell me what you did

No spring preload is still set on std (4th notch 1st notch being the lowest setting)

front end on my bike is set up with emulators and the rear shock i scored was brand new..The bloke i scored it off had built a R6 trackbike and that was just sitting in the cupboard for the last 3yrs.
I'll go up another 3 positions on the preload when I put janet on the back and she only weighs in just on 60kg fully suited.

Just put r6 09 shock on my bike and it works well it think , much better then my old 50000km in badly need of a overhaul and a stiffer spring shock

Did a little Google to learn to set it up, and found that it seems that the r6 spring might be progressive?
