Have ridden Jeanette's TRX last saterday.
Wil be riding it again next saterday, together with about 40 other members cause the club has a meeting and a tour through the factory
here: http://www.bsm-exhausts.com/main/index.html
about ten members also want to use the dyno testfacility there (for free)

Hopefuly it isn't to cold saterday 8)

(i'm taking the TRX instead of my own bike, cause the TRX has BSM cans on it)

I think I've forgotten how to ride! Doesn't look like I'll get out on it again this year either :-(

Who's been without theirs the longest? June'06, beat that anyone?
I haven´t ridden since sunday now and my hands are shaking like hell and white foam are bubbling out from sides of mouth.....and were just approaching winter! :behead:

Strange that, the last post previous to this one, was the day I had my heart attacks, so I haven't ridden anything since 14 Nov, bikes or women!

Never mind eh, good job it was winter on the horizon and not Springtime, cos in a month I can ride again!!!!!!!!

What makes you think I'm getting seriously stir crazy?
1996 TRX850 ... gone away for a holiday
1997 TDM850 ... fully restored
1998 Ducati 748 ... it is very red
2000 Thunderace ... simply the best!
2008 Bandit 1250SA .... tis a bit dented now.... damn

 well although you're going stir-crazy at least you're taking it easy!! Hope your recovery is going well.

God knows when mine will be back on the road - I've run out of time to try and get it running so maybe in a few weeks

Rode 50kms TRX last night after 70kms on a Guzzi Griso 1100. Chalk and cheese! Guzzi should make parallel twins! (Sorry Waz.)

No worries Mark. The Cali is good for long hauls (compared to the TRX) but you can't beat the TRX for weekend runs. I will, return to the fray, that I am sure.

Some moron drove into me on the freeway on on my way to work on monday and my bike is in 'surgery'. Among other problems, she has a badly scratched can. I wonder if Anna Nichol Smith is using hers now?

Anyway, its been 4.5 days and im about to take up smoking again! Public transport takes an hour and a half to get home, bike takes 40 minutes.

I guess it's going to take another month before she comes home :-(

Last time I was out playin was last Saturday and Sunday… already missing it.

With all the snow this week I brought the cage to work, better be safe than sorry….
I've been busy all week and haven't had a chance even to go in the garage and start the bikes, so today will be the day the neighbours will hear the thunderstorm noise coming out of my garage… (TRX, FZR1000 and an RSV Mille with a can with no baffle… LOL)… and the best is that I start them all at the same time just for a laugh!!

I'm Evil… MMUUAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I've been away for three weeks, & fly home tonight.

I don't think I've started my Tuono since before Christmas.

Might go out for a blast at the week-end, if I get time.

Both bikes need new front tyres really, so that'll be a decent excuse to go for a ride next week perhaps.

Bugger me, the only time I'm the winner is when I'm the looser.

My TRX started using more oil than usual and got hard to start so in it went for a valve check in May 06... no more clearances. OK Mr Yamaha shop do the valves thing..BTW I'm off on a family holiday to the UK will be back mid August.. do you want some cash now? Shop says no.

I work freelance in film&tv so when the work comes I do it.. I arrive back in Oz and immediatly off on a job that takes me interstate for a month so its mid Sept 06 when I get to the shop. Bike not ready.. needs 10 new valves, new valve guide seals, rebore and rings.... Why no start I say? No deposit they say... but back in May I said, and why not phone I say? Write cheque I did. Order parts they did... Off on another job was I. Back in December... bits on back order. Then X-mas, then off to outback for another job. Went back to shop and the parts are in, but their senior spanner man and TRX expert is on summer holidays and will be back Feb 19th '07. Apparently I am first cab off the rank when he is back. :-({|=

We shall see.

And yes I do miss my rex :crybaby:

Well, welcome to the site at least!

Sounds like it will be fully refreshed 'when' you do get it back!

Mmmm. If I can remember how to ride it. Not really new to this site and was on the old one, but had nuffin' to say while the bike was off the road.

What was interesting was putting my money where my mouth was... Workshop manager suggested my decision was a) buttoning the thing up and part ex-ing on a new bike.. at another dealer. Or b). spending the money -appprox 50% of the bikes market value- to do the valves, head, re-bore and rings.

He said option b) was only viable if I liked riding the bike and considered keeping it for a while longer, as its value would change little with the work.

Had so much fun riding the TRX over the years that writing the cheque was a no-brainer... :ride:

When I'm working,

Film camera operator or focus puller

Video camera operator.

But in this trade you spend more time getting the work than doing he work

I do stills work too.

Not a great way to earn the coins. Should have done economics like my folks told me too
