TRX Headlight poor?

Hello all, I am thinking of buying a TRX but reading MCN's review of the bike the headlight is described as poor. As a shift worker with a commute to work through unlit country roads this could be a real issue for me. What are other peoples opnions on the matter?

Yes, the headlight is terrible, there's a few fixes, either a headlight from an FZR with dual projector beams or a HID kit.

I fitted the HID kit, it's brilliant!

I have fitted a 90/130 watt bulb no melted wiring or fuse problems in last 3k miles. its still not fantastic but as good as most bikes with std bulbs (got 2x h4 and 2x h1 bulbs from ebay delivered £4.85)............Vicar

There's also the possibility to use a Ducati headlight, but at the moment i don't know, from which model the headlight has to be.
I guess, i could be a ST2 oder ST4, but i'm not sure.

edit: It's from a Bimota DB4.

Hello, I mounted the bulb of Philips Extreme series, code: 12342XVB1 (+100% more light) and I found myself very well, almost a different light!

If you ride at night - HID kit is the way to go. £50 and 20 minutes to fit.

No point in pissing about with bulbs IMHO

Please post a little more info about the HID-Kit, sounds good.

Some people here in Germany are using a Xenon Kit, available in ebay, seems easy to install, offers a very bright light, but it's not street legal.

edit: It's not from a Ducati model, it's from a Bimota DB4.
