I have a LHS crank case cover with a few scratches that once buffed/blasted out will require the crank case to be repainted. Is there a colour code or something for knowing the exact type of "silver" paint to use?
Also can some one suggest a good Place in Australia to get the cover respray/power coated etc so make it look new and standard again?
Engine colour code etc

Did you know most automotive paint shop suppliers now have aerosol capabilities, so if you take the cover before you blast it they will colour match the paint exactly then sell you a two pack can pre-mixed with hardener. All you have to do then is make sure you use the can within 3-4 days as it can go hard in the can. I have done this several times with our local auto paint guy and its less messy and works a treat. The only down side is the cans are around $35, but for the convenience it is well worth it.
