For all of you in the UK (me included) being plagued by fuel tap problems.

Wemoto have repair kits in stock now after a lengthy absence.

Hi guys, WEMOTO are out of stock again of the fuel tap repair kits. The diaphragm looks the same as
some of the other Yamaha tap kits but from photos obviously can't be sure of the sizes - does anyone
know if the TRX diaphragm is the same as any other models? Maybe XJ600, XV750 or FZR600?
Doesn't matter about any of the other parts in the kit - it's only the diaphragm I need.

Short answer is I don't know---- but it's on my to do list (if I ever get the bike back together).

Somewhere on here I listed the other models the trx repair kit fitted according to the label. Search for that and it'll be a good starting point maybe.

There's a complete tap on ebay uk for £10 plus p&p at the moment just search trx850 tap.

Hi Andy, Thanks for that - location is not a problem as I have family in the UK anyway.

I found the posting you refer to - I'd seen it previously but wasn't sure if the part you
were mentioning was just the "tap to tank" sealing washer or the whole tap repair kit.

I contacted WEMOTO last Friday & was advised that they had no stock at the moment -
their website shows the kit for the Suzuki GSF1200 (one of the bikes on your previous list)
is in stock but none of the others are listed - I'm confused

Have you seen the posts about rebuilding the tap as an on/off type? As far as I remember this is reversible so may be a solution until diaphragm is available.

Hi Andy, Yes, I've been looking at that post too. Long story short: I rang my local
Yam dealer who advised me that although Yamaha don't supply the diaphragm as a
separate part, he had sourced them elsewhere & had them in stock. I dismantled
my tap to do the job only to find that none of his aftermarket parts were correct!
He was good enough to take the diaphragm from a new tap he had in stock to get
me going again but now realises that he can't get the right one to rebuild his tap!
If I can get a replacement from WEMOTO (or similar) we will all be sorted as we'll
just fit that one to his stock tap instead of disturbing mine again.

Hi Andy,
Haven't sorted it yet - have emailed WEMOTO a couple of times but they're still waiting for
them to come back into stock. Will go & look at the one on E-Bay - thanks for the info.

Hi guys, Thanks to andyaber, I managed to get onto some fuel tap repair kits from a supplier
in the UK. The company is called Kwakies Motorcycle Spares & they are in Stoke-On-Trent.

I ordered the parts & they were here in West Oz in about 10 days. Great service & good quality,
"Made in Japan" parts too - well recommended.
