Got my new engine mounted but on removing the downpipes ( with great difficulty ) i managed to shear a stud .......... :(

Treated myself to a bike bench too ........ why didnt I get one years ago ? .... so much easier

Getting the barrel nuts undone is the easy bit (blowtorch), getting those alloy collars from releasing their grip on the studs is another matter! Mr Yamaha didn`t leave anywhere near enough clearance for the studs growing out the way with rust and the alloy collar holes growing in the way from oxidisation.
Can you `easyout` the stud, has it sheared flush with the head?

Flush with the head ........... its gonna need the drill on it .......... easy does it tomorrow and i
should get it

Carefully centre punch it then use a centre drill like this, much less likely to wander to get a good central start :wink: :

You will then be able to open it up with larger drills, CAREFULLY.
