Friction reducers: snake oil or real benefit?

I'd a TZ700 outfit but did't see any point in adding friction reducers when the motor had to be pulled apart, cleaned and maintained every 4 or 5 meetings...................

Years ago...we treated the motor with slick 50 two stroke. Although it did no harm it was impossible to tell if it helped. .....

As I reported earlier, Pennsylvania State have prosecuted Slick-50 for making false claims. That stuff may work, but there is no reliable evidence, & it is known to clog oil-lines.

Absolutely! I'm really impressed with the stuff. I've used it in 5 cars as well as the TRX, each time with positive results; and I'm going to use it in a Wankel aero-engine soon. I spent some time talking to the guy who "invented" the stuff, and it was clear he was an engineer who knew what he was talking about. The firm is British, originally from Lichfield; but now they're in Scotland.
