Engine temp?
Hi guys I'm new here and have a question about the engine temp,
My bike always runs with the needle in the bottom third section ofthe gauge even in summer It's done this from new is this normal?

Yep.
During our winters, my needle doesn't go above 60.....ever.
Summer is a different story. Especially if stuck in traffic.......goes high enough for the thermo fan to kick in.

Anyone know what temperature the cooling fan kicks in? Left my bike ticking over for some time and noticed the temp was nearly as high as it would go on the gauge and no fan on, so I just switched it of.?

You'd be surprised...............does sometimes get to -2 or -3deg C in our part of Sydney

I've seen -5 to -8 when living in Western Sydney ie. Richmond and Penrith. But then much of it is a hole.
