Life is not about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself.

Re: Bike Safe
Got a 'clip round the ear' the other day, towing my trailer (which is desperate for some re-welding here & there), i didn't want to drive through town as it was loaded, but on a backroads detour met a patrol car as i was turning left. Next thing i know they had spun round & pulled me over, turns out the rear facing ANPR camera picked up the reg on the trailer as a stolen vehicle. I forgot i still had the reg of my pick up that was stolen last year on the trailer, but they let me go after a brief lecture.Mincehead wrote:Wouldn`t trust a copper as far as I could kick one these days, and I have a great deal of involvement with them at my work.
The golden days of getting warnings and clipped ears are long gone sadly.
On the more negative side, after making a statement about six months ago regarding the theft i was told several arrests were made in connection with the theft of my truck & many more. The copper admitted in a roundabout way that they were pikeys, but they were bailed until December, what chance they turned up for the hearing? The old bill won't mess with them so they carry on doing whatever the fuk they want like ripping off pensioners, & nicking honest peoples gear.
A friend of mine recently treated himself to a nearly new limited edition Hilux, cos he's been working seven days a week for the last couple of years, last Sunday night (they pick Sunday nights for some reason), they nicked the cat & half the rest of the exhaust from the carpark opposite his house. I spoke to him a couple of days later & nobody's turned up to give him a crime number. No number no insurance claim no truck, its a good job he has another vehicle otherwise no work either. To make matters worse within two miles of home he came across a patrol car two coppers inside with a speed camera. IT stinks. Rant over.

If they were bailed never to return then your rant should be with the courts, it's the great British justice system that sets the punishment not the police. Everyone is entitled to a fare trial

The great British justice system is crap & i know the Police are hamstrung by it. I was told the suspects were part of a big operation, 4 or 5 of them were arrested locally in the small hours, travelling in a crew-cab truck, tooled up for robbing vehicles, the Police fed the reg of this truck into the ANPR system & it showed up regularly being followed by up to 4 stolen vehicles, which then get shipped out to Africa, but when they get bail they just move on & become someone elses problem. Meanwhile some channel 4 luvvies carry on making 'my big fat gypsy wedding & create Z list celebrities out of some of them. Its about time they made a proper reality show like my big fat gypsy theiving bastard. If my attitude makes me racist, or a bigot regarding these people i don't care, i know too many honest tradesmen & farmers etc who had stuff nicked & nothing gets done about it.
There's justice for all except victims of crime (that goes across the board unfortunately)

Your not wrong mate, if you commit a crime the preferred method is to offer reabilatation through whatever channel the judge can think of that will cost the tax payer money. Every support group you can possibly think of is available because the system has let the crim down!! What a load of shit.....if your a victim you get victim support, and that's a charity. It beggars belief.
