As I was putting some taller bars on my TRX today, I got to the point where I needed to re-route the throttle cables. I removed the front tank bolts and the tank tilted up about 15 degrees before the hose between the petcock and the pump ended the fun.
How do you guys stop gas from leaking everywhere when you want to tilt the tank back? Or do I need to empty the tank prior to servicing the bike?
I thought of this picture when I was trying to tilt the tank, but now I can see that the fuel lines are disconnected.

Wot he said ^^^^^
Or you could fit longer fuel and breather hoses so that the tank can be flipped back without disconnecting anything
