Cable clutch to run fatbars on my trx - XJ900 diversion?

Post by Jordy » Wed Jul 18, 2012 7:16 am

Hi just wondering if/what clutch cables people have used to run fat bars and risers on there trx850.

I have been told a xj900 diverion cable works , so i brought one from yamaha.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-XJ-90 ... 3c9fb88f5a

it looks like this one . just wondering is this style what other people have used , reason i ask is there is a bend in the cable line , just before clutch lever.

The original trx850 cable dosnt have this, its straight.

Thanks

I used a Yamaha TDM 850 1996-2001Clutch Cable 106cm Outer Cable 117cm Inner Cable Quality Pattern Slinky Glide Part from WEMOTO http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/tdm_850_4txl/98/
Brake hoses are for a YAMAHA FZS600 FAZER 1998-2003 one 800mm one 775mm from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FZS600 ... 33783e36b1
Please note this is using Blue Spot calipers.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

There are 2 clutch wires for the TDM.
I recently bought the one with Yamahas number 4TX-26335-01. Inner cable seemes to be
slightly to long but I managed to fasten it in the bracket and it works at the moment.
The other one, 3VD-26335-01 has a bended pipe in one of it´s end.
Hope I don´t mixed them up now.

I'm using a TDM850 one without issue
