Re: carb balance help needed please.
The two balence tubes go down the right hand side of the frame. I cut mine and installed a "t" piece with a bung on the unused section, once i had balanced the carbs. You could try to fit the tubes to the inlet manifold….if you have Elvish hands
Or just cut the hose and use a joiner to connect your vacuum gages. You may run out of fuel using this method……depends on how quick you are

If it's not made in China, it's a fake!

Re: carb balance help needed please. UPDATE
ok so i got my diy balancer set up and running, but as i can not for the love of money figure out how i am ever going to adjust the standard carbs when the bikes running.
i dont seem to have a screwdriver big enough yet small enough to fit, tryed with a small flat but could not manage to get enough purchase on the driver to turn it.
have managed to run with standard tank and fuel tap. all seals seam ok. when i run the engine the oil in the tubes dose not seem heavy enough to resist the pull towards the stronger side?
am considering purchasing a proper 2 guage tester if i can find one tomorrow, can some one give me some ideas about how to adjust on the fly please????

Re: carb balance help needed please.
the DIY tester will should do the job perfectly, so save yourself a few quid.
In fact I recently did a test where a mate had balanced the throttle bodies on his BMW GS with a balancer he bought, he then came over to my place, hooked it up to my home made one and we found we could make finer more accurate adjustments to get it sport on.
I pressume what happens is when you start the bike the oil on one side rises too high before settleing. Just adjust the screw for that side, until you get a bit closer to balanced and then it will get easier
It is a pain to do the TRX with the bike running. If you open the throttle a bit you will see you can get at that screw easily, so just hook it up, run it, take a reading and then trun it off. Make an adjustment. Then start it up again, check it, turn it off, make another adjustment etc

I find with my balancer the level jumps around a lot at idle making it hard to get an accurate reading. Pet/aquarium shops sell small adjustable plastic screw clamps that clamp on aquarium air lines to adjust the air flow into the tank. Put one on each vacuum hose and adjust until the pulsing drops to a reasonable level helps.

Re: carb balance help needed please.
ok heres what i did.....

as you can see not very big but it worked fine once restricted, i think i will add this though the restriction is very important especialy when using a thin oil. i used 2 stroke oil i had from my work moped and it is quite thin so that prob did not help but it worked in the end.
many thanks to all those that inputed.

Re: carb balance help needed please.
cool.
As you say. the 2 stroke oil, it light, but the fact that it is red is a plus. I used engine out which didnt flutter so much, however is takes a why to get the out into the tube and clear the air bubbles
