54,000 km service?

Is it a major service, or just an oil change and a set of plugs?

Just asking as, need a set of tyres and emulsion tubes, and sprockets and chain (isn't it funny how all these things need replacing at the same time?)
So money is a tad tight at the moment.

To make it worse I picked up a bad batch of PULP today and its running like a hairy dog coming out of slow corners at the moment. Drained the float bowls this arvo and its running a bit better so that tells me I'm on the right track - just might have to flush the tank out - haven't done that in a while

Yep, they do m8 and they have 2 types.

Of course the ones with the reservoirs are more expensive, eh?

Depends on how happy you are with the history of the bike.

Me, I never trust anyone and will do a full service on any bike I buy regardless of a stamped up book.

Also, remember that most people don't tend to do any of the following over the years:

lube cables
grease swingarm pivots, head races etc
change brake fluid
change fork oil

As a minimum do the air filter, plugs, oil and filter. Then valve clerances and then the above.

Well.................

I was very lazy and got a bike shop to do the service. Though I wish I hadn't. Thorough service and new rear Pilot Power cost me a tad over $700AUD (about 308 UK Pounds - 441 Euro). The shop told me something I already knew but.......that the emulsion tubes and needles are shot.

Of course they were saying that I should replace them with genuine Yamaha items. But I'm tending to go down the Dynojet or Factory Pro route ( I'd say the FCRs are a long way off at the mo') Which are the better and why, and any of the Aussie riders out there that have them fitted, could you tell me how much and where from?

But other than that the bike is running really well

Get the FactoryPro kit for the TRX.

Which one do I need? Yes Wolf Racing were very helpful. I emailed them early this morning and had a response by morning tea. And only $7 delivery to Sydney.

The kit I listed came with everything, main jets, pilot jets, springs, tubes, even some stickers. Actually I think the stickers may be the most important part, your bike is much faster when covered in stickers.
