Brake Pad Pins
I lost one of my pad pins for the rear brake on a long ride yesterday.
Gonna get 1 or 2 from the wreckers tomorrow.
Can these pins be safety wired?
Its funny I lost the pin but not the little R clip

Re: Brake Pad Pins
All fixed - was able to get pins and clips from a TDM850 - exactly the same

Re: Brake Pad Pins
Good. Now, how is it possible to lose the pin but not the clip?!

Re: Brake Pad Pins
The R clip and the wavy spring retaining plate stop flying away because of the black caliper cover - the retaining pin just worked its way loose and disappeared.

Re: Brake Pad Pins
One of my R clips was actually rattling around in the plastic cover along with a couple of stones. The pin was trying to escape but was thankfully rusted in place.
'95 4NX with K&N filter, Motad Venom cans, YSS PD valves, Ohlins fork springs, 530 C+S, Green CDI, 11/16 radial master cylinder, +30mm jack up dog bones. Enjoyable money pit.
