Must be losing my knack in my advancing years............
Just reassembling my motor and bagged up the bolts for each casing as I took it apart to avoid confusion.
However, putting oil tank base back on I have all but one bolt which are 8mm hex head and one with a 10mm hex (40mm long). Bolt looks clean so would have come from the interior but even the Yam manual does not specify the location of this different bolt. Nada in the Haynes either. No copper washer or anything with it.
Any ideas anyone please????
I hate it when you end up with a part left over during a build. I am certain it is not a balance shaft bolt as these were bagged seperately.

Re: Oil tank bolts
Got it.
Battery earth strap to the crankcase rear uses a 10mm hex bolt. Remainder are 8mm.
Losing it.
