Great Photos! Well done the photographer. Nice to see both TRX's in hall bends. You went really well on the bike and i am sure sometime soon i wont be able to keep up. Great to meet you all, and thanks for the oil.
Clutch is now stripped down but is all within spec, so just going to fit a set of HD springs and change the oil. Fingers crossed.
Will have to organise a get together next august for the classic bike trackday and make a camping weekend of it, wether you do the trackday or not.
All the best,
Dave

[quote="coxylaad"]and a few vids onboard with myself tussling with some lunatic on a CB500
Coxylaad, so who was the lunatic...? The infamous Kayla ?
Yes, I've been paying attention.

The very capable rider on the CB500 was Kayla's man.
Checked the timer on the camera and most laps were 2.05 down to a best time of 2.03.
I always wanted to get under 2 minutes, so must have been pretty close.

Looking and sounding good Ian - hitting the apices's well in the last session.
Must be a good feeling having created it all yourself

I haven't been round Cadwell since sidecar passengering days in the 80s - nearly fell off the back several times at Gooseneck before I learned to cross my arms over on the handles going from right to left

Cheers Al, i am amazed at how together the bike feels after such a short time. i expected a lot more fettling than has been needed. I felt really good in the last session, I am a firm believer in smalls steps progress and it took me a while to get there, but i never had any oh shi....! moment along way at it all felt nice and comfortable. The camera should have been rear facing though because silver was behind me and running me down throughout the session on the yellow TRX
It was an excellent day, can't wait for next year now. I have a few small jobs on the TRX over the winter - in the 6th and 7th sessions if you listen you can hear the scrape of my side stand as goes through the chicane. I need get it up out the way. Other than I will be tidying it up and maybe applying a bit of warpaint to it
Sidecar passenger. You have been a proper mentalist

Who the feck's Kev?

I heard something touch down on the left. Also thought it was "fluffing" a bit on the fuelling up the mountain but it might have been wind noise being picked up

Haha sorry I meant Al, no idea why my fingers wrote Kev - it's late and I am tyred
I was taking the mountain in third and it was pulling from quite low in the rev range. Plus the camera was way out front in the breeze, i need to look at that. that said the engines never been setup properly and I have not got a fleck in clue what map is on the power commander so it would probably benefit from a session on a dyno. It didn't feel like it was fuelling badly mind, and that mount has some vibration on it. It will all be sorted over winter

I've got a good map for my ol' lightly tuned 900 with Akras - I can send you it.
Sidecar drove and passengered - lived dangerously til I discovered crystal meths

Here's a pic at Jurby in the I.O.M in '85 on a GSX1100 - I came back to the paddock with bits of straw stuck on the side of my visor - part of the track went through a farmyard! The driver is Gordon Shand - the ol' bugger is still doing the TT - and still quick!

Great to see those odd bikes like a CB500

on track. At most trackdays I did recently, my TRX was by far the oldest moped besides all those fancy trackbikes.
Cadwell looks like an awesome track too! I would like to try a trackday in the UK, but planning one in my own country is hard enough.
