This gorgeous Darmah based special was built by it`s owner in his shed. That`s a 916 Showa front end, I spent about 20 minutes talking to the bloke and waited as he kicked her into life, sounded sweet through the `hollow` home built mega`s too.

That's got my vote too - I'm old enough to to remember lusting after a black and gold bevel (real) 900ss. You couldn't get a 70's Duke wet, as the electrics shorted out, and the chrome and paint peeled off them, then they just rusted away before your eyes! The late 60's singles were good while they were running, and they did all handle well.Same as the Brits though, they got kicked into touch by Japanese reliability at the time.
