idl1975..are you saying that the ohlins was too harsh??? with rebound damping dramas??? Too harsh in what respect?? It seems with 15 odd rebound settings(from memory) and 20 compression settings on the std shock alone ...was the issue just in durability and fade?? Or spring rate??? or Does the ohlins have limited adjustment as such??? No offence....Just trying to understand what you where feeling as such

I think you'll find he is trying to say that he has now got an Ohlins shock that he is happy with and that before that he he had a standard shock rebuilt that wasn't much better than stock

Yes, my experience with having the shock modified wasn't disastrous, but it still fell well short in the performance stakes. Not sure it was worth the money - if I hadn't been able to buy a used ohlins shock, I would have put money into improving the forks.
