The bikes been apart quite alot recently? It may be as simple as a little debris in the carbs (i've just had a similar problem with my FCR's) As a simple check try undoing the drain screw at the bottom of the bowls to drain them (obviously with the main fuel feed disconnected) connect a length of hose to the fuel feed into the carbs & give them a good blow thru which should shift any particles that may be sitting in any of the jets. If this doesn't sort it i'd say there's a good chance it's a float height issue.

Its both float bowls mate and theyre as clean as - having just cleaned the set of carbs last week and the float bowls yesterday upon changing the emulsion tubes.

Just a thought - always worth trying the 'cheap & easy' route first

Are the fuel and breather lines on the right spigots ?
