Amazing high numbers for fuel range. I was with others who get a max range of about 180miles on a tank (no engine mods).

I am now working hard going in the opposite direction; 100 laps of Brands Indy (1.3miles) on about 25 litres.

About 23mpg or 8km/l. May as well be in an M5 Bee Em.

Caught me out first track day at Snetterton thinking that I usually get about 30 miles on reserve and didn't manage half that.

Mark and I on the summer trip late last year, both had similar fuel figures, this was taken after a a great ride up the mountain from Grafton to Armadale, sitting on 130-140 on the straights and caning it through the twists and turns, I've since re-tuned the bike and should get slightly better figures. Still had 1.5 litres in the tank which would have given a "full to empty" range of around 410-415Km.

That gives me hope. Mine's on 113,000km. Still runs ok but is getting a bit weary now. Needs a restoration and some performance bits

1000,000km isn't that much really.. With a new cam chain at 100,000 km and valves reshimmed ( only 2 where just out of tollerence) and hadn't be reshimmed in 50,000km .. My motor still pulls like a train.. Upto 121,000 now .. I'll put it down to additives to keeping valves lubed and clean as the TRX do run rich from std and I'm sure wear on tubes and needles would only increase this if your not aware...

Passed 211,000km now, probably needs tappets done but maybe not worth it as the cam is probably worn but I haven't looked. Engine has all kinds of rattles but hasn't changed much over the last 50,000km.
Still getting great fuel economy, the most I've done between fills is 478km including reserve.

215000km passed, blew a fork seal at 213000 by hitting a speedbump too hard, but they were due for replacement anyway (never been replaced nor fork oil) . Used Pyramid Parts seals and they have been in now for a couple of thousand km and all ok. 5W oil used and seems to ride OK.
Economy dropped off on the last couple of tanks and bike was running rougher at light throttle, but I think it was dud fuel (both from the same petrol station), next tank ran much better.
Steering head bearing needs replacing, becoming very noticeable cogging to straight ahead position.

Pretty good chance you will be able to just clean and repack those steering head bearings.
Keep the std bearings in as long as you can before replacing as all you can get is a generic tapered style and for the action of a steering head bearing the ball race version is an excellent choice...
I've just done mine on this rebuild even with the R1 front conversion , I've still retained the original steering head bearings as there was nothing at all wrong with them with 127,000 Km's.

220,000km
Bled brakes.
Fuel economy unchanged.

Only problems
- a sticky brake lever, I think this may have been due to filth in the fluid causing friction in the master cyl, fixed after flushing/bleeding the brakes,
- a sticky chain link. This seems to be the conn-link, looks like the rivetting process has pushed it too tightly perhaps, I think the wear on the drive sprocket is hooking the link makes a clunk noise every cycle of the chain. The chain is hardly worn after 34,000km but sprockets both look worn.
Sidestand appears to have a lot of wear, so might need a second hand replacement. Very wobbly and spring is a bit loose, when it's down it goes a bit too far forward so the bike leans a bit too much.
The fork seals are running great.
Will do another engine oil change next week(approx 7000km since last one).
