No, I haven't bought a Kawasaki

, I've got a leak on the r/h side of the engine, appears to be coming from the water pump cover
Hopefully it's just the gasket, I'll have a look at the service manual, but are there any tricks with the water pump & anything I should replace while I'm in there?
& what are the odds that Yamaha Australia will have a gasket in stock????

I'll do a search, meantime, it's an O ring apparently, not a gasket, better call Yamaha & see what they've got.
Of course I planned a ride with a mate this weekend, didn't I?

There's a possibility that the leak is actually coming from the small hole in the body of the water pump between the oil seal and mechanical water seal. It could appear as though it's coming from the cover.
If it is coming out of the hole then it's a sure sign that the mechanical seal is failing. It's a fairly common issue and the seal will always fail eventually. If you do a forum search I'm sure there's a wealth of information.
Yamaha will probable try to sell you a whole water pump. I haven't repaired a TRX pump specifically but I have repaired others using off-the-shelf parts from bearing and/or pump shops.

Yeah, could be the case, I've ordered o rings # 2 & 7 from the parts manual & the FZR seal part number 11H-12438-00 (now 11H-12438-10), total of about $50 & from two different shops, but I should have it all here before the weekend!
