The rear sprocket carrier for the TRX and YZF is exactly the same so yes the sprockets are interchangeable BUT the standard YZF item has a few more teeth than the standard TRX one.

Early TDM sprockets will also fit.

If you want advice on bigger or smaller sprockets for the TRX, speak to B & C express.

Also search the forum... :D

When is was looking for sprockets i found this website www.jtsprockets.com it has a good catalogue with drawings so you can mix and match different models , I was looking for a 525 rear sprocket to fit a r1 rear wheel on my trx. I have also used bandc and talon in the past. Talon will make you an alloy rear one to order if they haven't got it in stock (very helpful) .

Mate, dunno what you're up to, but if you are fitting your TRX sprocket on a newly-fitted YZF rear wheel maybe, dont forget the YZF runs a 180 tyre which had a bigger diameter.

Hi trixynut, i am just trying to get the gearing as close to standard as possible. The bike is currently running a 42 rear 17 front with a 180/55 tyre. if i run a 39 tooth rear sprocket i won't be far away according to gear commander. :)

The gear commander is a good little site, I have been playing with my gearing lately, ive got a 16 /17 teeth front and 41/43 rear . currently running 16/43 i think its about 125 ish in top.
