I've had a spare set of wheels kicking around for a while so decided to give them a full refurb, paint and swap them for the ones on the bike.
First was a strip-off of the discs and bearings etc, then a couple of costs of bleack gloss, then a rebuild with new wheel bearings and sprocket carrier bearing.
Took the opportunity to change the rear sprocket to a larger one I had lying about too (42 tooth I think)
Cost was
Gloss black paint £10
5 x bearings £25
Swap tyres, balance, valves £30

Next will be to powder coat or paint the rear engine cradle and swingarm at some point, then tidy up the downpipes (amd maybe paint with PJ1) and maybe look at some black or carbon/fibre cans.

looks heaps better imho.
perhaps try a cloth wheel and some amalgam or blue powder first on those headers.
you may get a nice surprise!

I never thought I'd say this but I actually prefer the orange wheels!

I like the black look, but not too much black..?
Some gun metal grey on the swing and yolk might be a start, just to break up the black lump...
A polish to your exhaust will bring a gold effect..its quite hard really,[colour placement], but very neat overall..

Looking good, but as you say, needs more black!
Black powder coat of frame, wheels, swingarms & mounts is on my list one day.

Ive used some matt black auto sticker and trimmed to the like...seems to take the bright silver away and bring up the motor....available from an auto stripe guy.
Mine is from the car window frame black out tape....the door frames on your modern car..black..? its tape.
