Question please. I don't have a TRX but am very interested.
I currently have a BMW R1100S. Admitedly it has now covered over 100k but it has not proved to have been well built - clutch push rod seal leaked at 50,000 requiring a new clutch too, gear-box input shaft badly worn at 80,000 resulting in destruction of another clutch and requiring a gearbox rebuild one of final drive universal joints needed replacing at 98,000. Now the bike won't start - compression on one side is 60% down - probably a new top end or replacing the engine for second-hand one. My major issue has been that dealing with the clutch or gearbox or replacing the engine is a lengthy job which either results in the bike being off the road for a long time requires paying someone else to do it - which I don't like doing.
The purpose of all of this is to enquire how reliable TRXs usually, how easy they are to service and work on for a reasonably competent owner and the status of spares availability and prices. I would welcome some opinions.

Re: Reliability
very reliable, especially when compared with the BMtroubleU
Not a hell of a lot goes wrong and I would struggle to think of common problems with them.
They use a bit of oil so you need to keep an eye on the oil level, but you would be used to that with the BM
Oh yes, the needle jets wear out, usually last about 30,000km. Replacements cost 12.50euro or 25euro for the pair

Re: Reliability
the sides of the tyres wear out a lot faster on a trx compared to a bm
